Our Mission Statement
Animal Protection Society of WA (Inc) “APS” is a not for profit, pro-life volunteer run Cat & Dog Refuge. We are committed to rescuing Cats & Dogs who find themselves homeless.We work with local pounds, other rescues and private surrenders. We do not discriminate, we take Cats and Dogs of all ages, breeds and those in need of medical attention. APS are committed to providing the Cats & Dogs in our care a loving and safe environment until we can match them with the forever home most suited to their individual needs. We commit that every animal in our care will be sterilised, micro chipped, vaccinated & vet checked, to ensure their overall wellbeing and future safety. APS actively encourage responsible pet ownership, by educating potential adopters about the responsibilities and costs of welcoming a Cat and/or Dog into their family.

They did it! 10 of our Dog Section team jumped out of a pawfectly good plane to raise much needed funds for improvements around our dog section! Well done to all of those who took a leap for our woofs, but especially to Clare for doing this on her 76th year of being absolutely PAWESOME! Well done Angel, Donna, Emma, Gigi, Janet, Jodie, Megan, Natasha and Taleisha and a big thanks to Skydive Geronimo Rottnest!

On Saturday 5th November Team Meow will be sleeping rough in an animal shelter, something that 100,000+ cats and dogs do every single night in Australia. This is to highlight the important and vital work that shelters play in today’s society.
Not only do they provide food and warmth, they provide ongoing medical treatment, social interaction and love; something lacking in all of these cats and dogs’ lives.
Love comes in abundance but unfortunately everything else comes at a price – as a non-for-profit organisation, every single cent raised goes towards care of our unwanted cats and dogs.
Every single cent raised helps The Animal Protection Society of WA help to keep our homeless dogs, cats and kittens off the street; providing shelter, food, vital vet work and ultimately helping them find the loving home they deserve.
